
Director of Asset Management - Healthcare Real Estate

SCI, the Leader in Real Estate Executive Search®, is seeking a Director of Asset Management – Healthcare Real Estate to join a premier national commercial real estate finance and investment firm. With more than 30 years of market leadership, the firm maintains a dominant presence in healthcare and multifamily lending, executing over $10 billion in annual transactions and servicing a loan portfolio exceeding $100 billion.
This role will be instrumental in building and leading the firm’s internal healthcare bridge lending asset management platform—one of the company’s key strategic growth initiatives. The platform has already originated more than $15 billion in bridge-to-agency loans across healthcare and multifamily assets, supporting acquisitions, repositionings, and transitional investments nationwide.

The position can also be based in Atlanta or NYC.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely with borrowers, property management agents and to collect, normalize and analyze financial and operating statements
- Assess progress versus asset business plan underwritten at loan closing
- Prepare periodic reports to co-investors and warehouse line providers
- Manage a portfolio of highly complex and/or high profile assets
- Create solutions to return any underperforming or delinquent loans to performing status;
- Prepare action plans and recommendations on troubled assets for presentation to senior management and investors
- Coordinate with other departments such as Finance, Legal, Accounting, Loan Servicing, etc.
- Conduct property inspections as required
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- A Bachelor’s degree in: Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
- At least 10-15 years of relevant real estate lending and/or asset management experience; Skilled Nursing Facility experience preferred
- Understanding of loan documentation and real estate on a business level
- Familiarity with third-party reports such as Physical Needs Assessments, Appraisals, and Broker Opinion of Value
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, with an emphasis on: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
