Job Title: Insurance Account Manager
Compensation
Base Salary: $80,000 – $110,000
Discretionary bonus + growing equity
Position Overview The Insurance Account Manager provides administrative and client service support for commercial insurance activities within a brokerage environment. This role focuses on managing policy lifecycles, marketing accounts to carriers, negotiating terms, and ensuring accurate processing of applications, renewals, and claims. The position requires strong attention to detail, relationship management, and the ability to work within a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities Client & Account Management
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, responding to inquiries regarding policies, coverage, and claims
Build and maintain strong client relationships, proactively addressing needs and providing guidance
Assist with policy applications, renewals, endorsements, and updates
Carrier & Market Coordination
Market accounts to insurance carriers and wholesale brokers
Negotiate terms, pricing, and coverage with underwriters and carriers
Act as a liaison between clients, carriers, and internal teams
Policy Administration
Maintain accurate records of policy details, endorsements, and amendments
Prepare and distribute policy documents and certificates of insurance
Review and approve policies prior to issuance
Claims Processing
Review and process insurance claims, ensuring all documentation is complete
Coordinate with adjusters and internal teams to facilitate resolution
Application & Data Management
Gather and review documentation for new applications, renewals, and updates
Submit applications to carriers and track progress through approval
Maintain and update client and policy data in internal systems
Generate reports and analyze data as needed
Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure all transactions and documentation comply with company policies and regulatory standards
Conduct audits to ensure accuracy and completeness of records
Support & Collaboration
Work closely with underwriters, brokers, and internal teams to support the underwriting process
Provide administrative support for insurance programs and initiatives
Qualifications
3–6 years of experience in a commercial insurance brokerage environment
Experience with account management, policy administration, and carrier relationships
Experience working with carriers (e.g., Travelers, Chubb, Ascot) and wholesale brokers (e.g., Amwins)
P&C Insurance Producer License required
Skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
High attention to detail and organizational ability
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
Proficiency in Google Workspace and Applied EPIC
Comfortable handling a high volume of client interactions
Preferred Background
Associate’s degree or higher in Business, Insurance, or a related field
Experience supporting the full client lifecycle within a brokerage
