$12.00-$13.00 per hour

Position Purpose The purpose of the Residence Life Summer Intern position is to support the preparation and operation of campus housing for the upcoming academic year. Interns assist with residence hall readiness, summer camps, conferences, and campus events while contributing to the daily functions of housing operations. This role provides students with hands‑on experience in Student Affairs and campus operations while helping maintain a welcoming, organized, and functional residential environment for students and campus guests.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation and maintenance of residence halls for the 2025–2026 academic year
Support housing operations during summer camps, conferences, and campus events
Perform basic clerical duties such as typing, managing spreadsheets, emails, filing, sorting, and distribution of materials
Complete custodial tasks including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, and restocking supplies
Help with decorating, organizing, furniture moving, and simple maintenance tasks within residence halls
Work both independently and collaboratively with the housing and facilities teams
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming living environment for students and guests
Support educational tours and public relations activities as needed.
Qualifications – Education, Experience, and Skills
Must be currently enrolled as a Hocking College student for the Fall semester.
Must meet federal requirements for Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).
Must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.
Ability to perform basic clerical and administrative tasks
Comfortable completing custodial and physical tasks related to residence hall upkeep
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Demonstrate initiative, reliability, and strong work ethic
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
