Salary: $68,000 - $85,000 (depending on experience and location of residence)

About The Role The Employee Relations Specialist is a hands‑on practitioner responsible for ensuring a fair, consistent, and legally compliant workplace across a multi‑state environment. This role serves as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees by managing sensitive employee relations matters, conducting prompt and neutral workplace investigations, and strengthening manager capability through practical coaching and policy guidance. The Employee Relations Specialist partners closely with Employee Relations leadership, HR Business Partners, Legal, Compliance, and Operations to resolve issues early, mitigate risk, and ensure employees feel heard and supported while reinforcing Clarvida’s standards for respectful workplace behavior, documentation, and non‑retaliation.

Responsibilities

Serve as a primary point of contact for employee relations inquiries, concerns, and complaints; assess risk, urgency, and next steps using a consistent triage approach

Provide timely, practical guidance to leaders and HR partners on appropriate interventions including informal resolution, coaching, corrective action, investigation, and escalation

Use the designated ER ticketing and case management system to log intake, actions, timelines, outcomes, and follow‑ups while maintaining clean, confidential case files

Maintain accurate and confidential case documentation aligned with Clarvida standards and applicable retention and privacy requirements

Conduct prompt, neutral, and well‑documented investigations related to workplace misconduct, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, performance and behavior concerns, and policy violations

Build investigation plans; conduct interviews; gather and assess facts; synthesize findings; and draft clear, objective, and defensible summaries and recommendations

Apply confidentiality appropriately and consistently, protecting privacy while ensuring a fair process and need‑to‑know disclosures

Coach leaders on performance management, progressive discipline, documentation quality, respectful workplace expectations, and non‑retaliation practices

Review and strengthen performance and corrective action documentation for clarity, consistency, and policy alignment; flag risk trends and inconsistencies across markets

Partner with HR Business Partners and Operations leaders to resolve workplace issues early and reduce escalation risk

Support adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policy standards; partner with Legal and Compliance for higher‑risk matters

Partner with Legal on high‑risk or sensitive investigations and outcomes to ensure process integrity, appropriate escalation, and defensible documentation

Support regulatory audits or external inquiries as assigned, ensuring accurate records and timely coordination

Contribute to the development, refinement, and communication of workplace policies and ER playbooks and translate policy into practical manager guidance

Support ER training initiatives for leaders and employees including respectful workplace, investigations process, documentation discipline, and retaliation prevention

Track ER themes and trends such as case types, repeat issues, and time‑to‑resolution and recommend proactive interventions to strengthen culture and reduce risk

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field or equivalent experience

3–5 years of employee relations experience including hands‑on workplace investigations

Working knowledge of employment laws and employee relations best practices

Strong interviewing, documentation, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills

Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive matters with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment

Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or human services environments

Experience supporting multi‑state or rapidly growing organizations
