Compensation Range: $70 - 75 per hour

We are expanding into consumer products and immersive promotions to amplify show awareness and create tangible ways for fans to engage with our top-tier content. Our goal is to transform standalone titles into enduring global franchises and cultural "brands" that remain in the zeitgeist. By leveraging merchandise, gaming, and unique experiences, we aim to drive sustained long-term value for our intellectual properties.

Job Type: Contract

As the leader of Hardlines Product Development, you will spearhead the end-to-end global design and production strategy for all hardline categories across every age demographic.

Responsibilities

Creative Translation: Oversee the evolution of our titles into innovative, market-ready hardlines, ensuring every product remains authentic to the original IP.

Strategic Design: Direct the global strategy for categories including toys, plush, collectibles, dolls, and home goods. You will foster deep partnerships with licensees, external brands, and internal cross-functional teams.

Lifecycle Management: Own the product journey from initial creative vision and partner kickoff to global retail launch, ensuring high-quality design, strategic merchandising, and regional differentiation.

Collaborative Leadership: Partner with the CP Art Director to synchronize product development with packaging standards.

Partner Guidance: Act as the primary creative consultant for licensees and retailers, teaching them how to successfully translate our IP into elevated consumer goods.

Operational Excellence: Develop creative toolkits and guidelines to inspire better design while optimizing workflows to increase speed-to-market.

Qualifications

Industry Expertise: 6+ years in hardlines design and development, covering both vertical and licensed models, with a heavy emphasis on tentpole toy development.

Category Versatility: Proven experience across multiple segments, specifically pre-school properties, game development, and electronics.

Innovation Mindset: A sharp eye for emerging trends and a track record of bringing innovative products to a crowded market.

Demographic Range: Expert-level knowledge in developing products for both the adult collector market and the kid-focused play space.

Strategic Agility: The ability to pivot between high-level brand strategy and the granular, day-to-day management of complex operations.
