Graduate Assistant – Athletics Marketing & Development
Description of Position
Northwest Nazarene University is accepting applications for the position of Athletics Marketing & Development Graduate Assistant. This is a part‑time, year‑around, temporary position that reports to the Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing & Development.
Job Type Temporary
Essential Functions
Assists with the cultivation, solicitation, and management of NNU Athletics corporate sponsorships.
Assists with the develop and implementation of game day promotions that highlight relationships with area businesses, community members, and strategic partners.
Assists with fundraising efforts of individual sports programs.
Assists in ticket sales plans & increasing revenue generation.
Assists with the annual NNU Athletics golf tournament, student‑athlete awards banquet, Hall of Fame ceremony, and Athletics Give Day.
Regularly collaborates and partners with other University offices including University Advancement, Marketing, Admissions, Alumni Office, and the Office of Mission and Ministry, to coordinate and maximize opportunities to promote, brand, and fundraise for NNU Athletics.
Assists with reporting of information required by the NCAA and GNAC.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing & Development.
Requirements Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Acceptance into NNU’s Graduate School
High motivation and commitment to the University, organizational skills, the ability to self‑start, be calm under pressure, meet deadlines, work without direct supervision, multi‑task, problem solve, and relate to a variety of personalities under diverse circumstances
The University requires that all staff members be Christians and must be comfortable with and in agreement with the mission and lifestyle values of NNU and be willing to help advance the spiritual goals of the University.
Compensation Full tuition for graduate‑level classes and $3,000 stipend. A two‑year commitment is preferred, renewed after one year based on satisfactory academic and work‑related performance.
