
Sr Sales Manager

The Senior Sales Manager is a key revenue-driving leader responsible for developing and executing strategic sales initiatives that maximize hotel performance. This role focuses on securing corporate, SMERF, LNR, and group/event business while building strong client relationships and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented sales professional with a proven ability to exceed revenue targets, negotiate effectively, and lead within a dynamic hospitality environment.
What You’ll Do
Drive revenue growth by achieving or exceeding targets across rooms, catering, and events through proactive sales efforts
Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with market trends, demand forecasts, and competitive insights
Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with corporate clients, travel managers, meeting planners, and key accounts to generate repeat and long-term business
Lead contract negotiations, ensuring profitable business mix and alignment with hotel policies
Conduct site tours, client presentations, and sales calls; represent the hotel at industry events and networking functions
Partner closely with Revenue Management to align pricing and inventory strategies
Collaborate with Operations to ensure seamless execution of group business and high levels of client satisfaction
Mentor and support sales team members, contributing to a high-performing sales culture
Maintain accurate records in sales systems and prepare regular reporting on performance, forecasts, and activity
Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and the Manager on Duty (MOD) program, including occasional evenings and weekends
About You
Proven experience in hotel sales, with a focus on group, corporate, and event business
Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals
Strong negotiation, closing, and account management skills
Experience working with Marriott systems preferred
Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational abilities
Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Relationship-driven approach with the ability to build trust and long-term partnerships
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
Willingness to travel as needed
