Experience Required
High School Diploma
Enrolled in PGA Program
Previous work experience at private golf facility
Strong customer service and leadership skills
Detail‑oriented
Knowledge of the USGA Rules of Golf
Essential Responsibilities The Assistant Professional's main responsibility is to work closely with the golf staff in all facets of the golf operation in an effort to provide the ultimate golf experience!
Administration and Personnel
Work as part of a team for the overall golf operation – Head Golf Professional, Assistant Golf Professionals, Golf Shop Manager, Director of Instruction, Golf Shop Staff, and Golf Services Staff
Enforce club rules and policies to members and guests
Work in a professional manner with all club staff
Day‑to‑Day Golf Operations
Administer golfing leagues & events
Oversee golf shop operations (opening & closing)
Manage online reservations, website & inventory systems
Monitor on‑course activity & pace of play
Provide golf lessons / club fittings for members
Junior Golf Program instruction
Manage demo & rental club inventory
Events and Leagues
Assist with the operation/execution of club events
Coordinate/assist with leagues: Men's Leagues, Women's Leagues, Senior Men's League, Couples League, PGA Junior League
Work closely with other Golf Professionals on major club events (Guest Days, Member/Member, Invitational, Nick Classic, and many more)
Instruction, Club Fitting and Playing
Instruct all members on the fundamentals of the game in both private and group environments
Assist members and guests with their equipment needs through knowledgeable club fittings using fitting systems and technology provided
Play golf with members; staff will be assigned playing time with members and are encouraged to play with members as frequently as possible
Merchandising
Assist with inventory control of the golf shop
Support day‑to‑day merchandise operations (sales, service, ticketing, displays, organization)
Assist with special orders in Golf Genius Golf Shop
Golf Simulator & Performance Center
Assist with operation of aboutGOLF golf simulator
Assist with operation of two bay Flightscope Mevo + golf simulators
Provide food & drink service (additional revenue opportunity)
