Production Roofing Foreman

Position Summary The Production Roofing Foreman leads, trains, and helps work as part of a roofing crew to install, repair, and maintain commercial roofing systems. This role requires proficiency in all Built Up Roof (Hot Tar, Cold Process, and Torch Down) and Single Ply (TPO, PVC, EPDM) systems, operations, material handling, and safety critical high temperature work. The position supports company standards for quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Jobsite and Crew Management
Train and help crew to tear up existing roofs
Train and help crew to lay and adhere to insulation.
Train and help crew to lay and adhere membrane
Train and help crew to detail and proficiently weld seams
Train and help ground crew to heat asphalt in kettles and safely apply hot tar using mops or squeegees
Train and help crew to Install BUR systems including felt, membranes, insulation, and protective layers
Conduct high temperature work following strict safety protocols
Ensure KRI team is adhering to all KRI safety standards
Day to Day Jobsite Internal and External Point of Contact.
General Commercial Roofing Tasks
Complete tear offs, installations, and assigned tasks as directed
Inspect roofs for damage and assist with diagnostic assessments
Handle roofing materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently
Maintain clean, organized, and hazard free work areas
Safety Responsibilities
Follow all job‑site safety requirements including PPE and fall protection
Assist with setup and teardown of safety equipment
Participate and lead weekly safety meetings and required training sessions
Always adhere to hot work safety procedures
Training & Development
Attend companywide training events and manufacturer specific system training
Learn and apply company standards for installation and workmanship
Demonstrate willingness to grow into advanced roofing skills
Competencies Technical Skills
Proficient with roofing tools: knives, hammers, snips, mops, squeegees
Ability to learn and execute commercial roof system installation
Understanding of hot tar application and material handling
Experienced in training and leading crews to perform safe, efficient, quality work.

Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately
Productivity driven with consistent, reliable performance
Experience holding crews accountable for safety and quality standards

Work Environment
Outdoor work year-round in varying weather conditions
Exposure to heat, cold, humidity, wind, fumes, chemicals, and airborne particles
Noise levels range from moderate to loud depending on job site
Schedule
Monday–Friday, typically 6:00 AM–5:00 PM (8–10 hour days)
Hours vary based on daylight, weather, and project demands
Weekend work may be required due to weather delays
Travel
Work locations vary depending on project assignments
Education & Requirements
Garland training and certification
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Commercial roofing experience, especially hot tar/BUR, strongly preferred
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, climbing, and working at height
To Qualify, you are required to have the following:
Valid Drivers License
Willing to obtain a company-paid DOT Health Card
Pass a Drug Test and MVR
