Position Summary The Terry College of Business seeks a full‑time employee to work for the Institute for Leadership Advancement (ILA). ILA seeks a person who can develop and manage an overall marketing and communications strategy for ILA, including but not limited to brand management, social media management, newsletter development, and website management; this role also plays a significant role in donor‑focused development and stewardship efforts that require communications to various stakeholders.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And/Or Competencies

Experience with public relations and/or marketing.

Ability to work on multiple projects with multiple deadlines.

Excellent written communication skills.

Proficiency in CANVA, Google Drive, Mailchimp, and WordPress.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.

Duties/Responsibilities – Overall Communications Strategy (40%)

Brand Management

Maintain a cohesive brand voice – adhering to the UGA and Terry College brand guidelines.

Social Media Management

Develop, schedule, and monitor content across ILA platforms (Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn).

Track analytics to improve engagement and performance.

Maintain professional feeds, respond to queries, and flag potentially harmful posts.

Monitor Terry College and UGA social media and repost when associated with ILA.

Newsletters

Manage compilation, design, and dissemination of weekly student newsletters, weekly reminders & upcoming events slides, twice‑yearly newsletters, and additional newsletters as needed.

Website Management

Lead the effort and execute copy and design for the ILA website with attention to deadlines and program changes.

Consult with OMC to maintain consistency across Terry branding.

Marketing Materials

Maintain and update the design and copy of master files for student and donor‑focused marketing collateral.

Drive and coordinate with the Office of Marketing & Communications to flag important updates, materials, and handle various marketing and communications efforts to maintain adherence to the Terry Brand.

Ensure marketing materials are on hand.

Duties/Responsibilities – Strategic Marketing (25%)

Develop and maintain the brand voice for alumni programs.

Manage subscriptions for department and ensure the platforms are the most advantageous.

Manage all external and internal communications, event marketing, and participant recruitment efforts.

Partner with ILA faculty and other Terry College departments to identify and develop stories highlighting students’ service‑learning efforts.

Duties/Responsibilities – Donor‑focused Development and Stewardship Efforts (20%)

Drive and coordinate efforts to produce stewardship reports and solicitation campaigns in collaboration with Terry Development and Alumni Relations.

Coordinate and compile student success stories to highlight in stewardship reports for corporate sponsors and donors.

Coordinate with internal Terry teams to ensure brand standards.

Duties/Responsibilities – Project Management & Copyediting (10%)

Monitor and support internal team’s adherence to protect deadlines.

Support review and copy‑editing of team‑development content.
