Relationship Manager
for our client, First Atlantic Restoration. This is a new position reporting to the Sales Manager and based out of the Newport News office, covering the Middle Peninsula territory.

Position Overview: This successful candidate will be responsible for generating sales by helping others in times of crisis. This individual must display a caring and helpful spirit of Giving First in order to create a win-win situation for the customer as well as First Atlantic Restoration. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating relationships with strategic partners, developing mutually beneficial relationships with key contacts, and generating leads to hit an established annual sales goals.
Essential Skills and Abilities
Effective communicator, both orally and in writing
The willingness to learn and effectively execute First Atlantic’s sales process
Computer literate (i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Competency in problem-solving and decision-making
Effective territory management of the assigned contact database with regular updates regarding visits and activity
Ability to work as a team player
Accountability for new leads developed daily to build sales volume
Ability to demonstrate empathy and patience with customers during extreme situations
Responsibilities Business Development Duties:
Consistent adherence to our Core Values in both the professional environment and while interacting with employees, clients, vendors, and all others connected to First Atlantic
Convey a positive image of FAR to the customer at all times in accordance with company policies by taking pride in your personal appearance, maintaining a positive attitude and conducting yourself in a professional manner
Maintain and effectively manage a pre-assigned account
Work as a team player to continue to build on the winning culture of excellence
Meet Key Performance Indicator expectations
Prepare for and participate in sales meetings
Manage client-specific accounts receivable to under 90 days receivable and be willing to have conversations about money with clients
Generate new leads
Maintain regular contact with accounts and leads through a calendar/diary system
Assist with finding additional streams or revenue and markets
Assist with preparation of marketing and branding materials and literature
Effectively utilize FAR’s relationship management tool to ensure accurate and timely information on assigned customers and prospects
Arrive on-site for client claims to enhance relationship and project professional
Support the production department when needed on client-specific needs relative to producing the work
Support warranty claims for clients when applicable
Must be effective in executing an effective prospecting plan to include:
Attending industry association events
Attend client training events in-house
Networking within the community to expand client relatiionships
Attend community events, such as golf tournaments, as directed by sales and marketing lead
Developing opportunities through calls, running effective meetings with prospects and key referral sources, and following FAR’s sales process
Provide emergency assistance after a loss, when needed
Knowledge or experience in the construction trades beneficial to building credibility and trust in carrying out this role.
