Overview This is a founding-level Product & Operations role within a venture-backed AI research company building large-scale video data infrastructure and advanced model training systems. The company operates at the intersection of frontier AI research, large-scale data systems, and next-generation model development. Its mission is to solve critical training data bottlenecks powering AI systems across media, robotics, immersive environments, and enterprise applications. This is a high-ownership position working directly with leadership and engineering to design, build, and scale foundational operational and data systems from the ground up. You will help architect the infrastructure that enables breakthrough AI model performance. This role is ideal for highly analytical, technically fluent operators who thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and want to build foundational systems at scale.

Core Responsibilities Strategic Data & Partnerships

Forge and manage strategic data partnerships across enterprise, media, and research ecosystems

Design creative and scalable sourcing strategies for large-scale video and multimodal datasets

Negotiate and structure partnerships with external vendors, data providers, and platform partners

Operational Systems & Infrastructure

Build and scale human workforce operations and quality assurance processes

Develop operational playbooks that support high-volume data ingestion and labeling workflows

Create scalable systems that enable engineering and research teams to move faster

Establish metrics and reporting frameworks to measure operational efficiency and data quality

Product & Cross-Functional Leadership

Partner directly with research, engineering, and executive leadership to influence long-term strategy

Translate research and model requirements into scalable operational execution plans

Own complex projects end-to-end from concept through deployment

Identify bottlenecks in data pipelines and design solutions that unlock model performance

Execution & Ownership

Operate effectively in ambiguous, zero-to-one environments

Balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution

Rapidly prototype and iterate on operational systems

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Computer Science (or closely related technical discipline)

Excellent general problem‑solving and analytical skills

Strong technical fluency and ability to collaborate closely with engineers and researchers

Demonstrated ownership of projects or operational initiatives

Willingness to work in‑person at the San Francisco headquarters
