Overview
JOB DESCRIPTION
ASSISTANT GOLF PROFESSIONAL
Opening/Closing Golf Shop - Open and close golf shop according to opening and closing procedures.
Tee Sheet Execution - Ensure that all names are recorded on tee sheet and billed correctly. Also ensure that tee sheet records match.
Member relations - Ensure member experience meets or exceeds member expectations.
Policies/Procedures - Follow and abide by all club policies, procedures, and systems. This would include relaying the rules and policies to the members and their guests.
Starter - Work as the outside starter as an extension of the Golf Shop to ensure proper check in by all golfers, keep tee times on schedule, monitor the driving range and practice facility.
Outside Supervision - Assist with the supervision of the outside service staff to ensure all daily operations are being taken care of and completed.
Merchandise - Be responsible for all facets of merchandise including but not limited to:
Special Orders - make special orders on a daily basis
Ordering
Receiving
Inventory (end of month inventory count)
Shop Cleanliness - Maintain a clean golf shop with attractive presentations free of trash, debris, dust, grass clippings, and dead bugs.
Count and Fill - Perform weekly count and fill procedure with all count and fill items - balls, gloves, men's/women's merchandise, bags, and bottoms.
Merchandise displays - Re-arrange merchandise displays once a month. Ensure that all items are sized smallest to largest and from light colors to dark colors.
Month End Inventory - Participate in month end inventory counting and procedures. Review inventory and month
Clinics/Lessons - Create lesson clinics for the members to include ladies, junior and men.
Experience Required Employment at a prior private country club preferred
