Job Description:

As a key member of Flexential’s Cloud & Data Protection (CDP) Product Architecture team, the Senior Product Architect is responsible for ensuring CDP products deliver exceptional customer experiences while meeting quality, cost, scalability, and portfolio objectives. This role serves as the primary technical interface between Product Management and internal engineering, operations, and customer-facing architecture teams.

The Senior Product Architect drives the definition and evolution of service and solution standards, ensuring Flexential’s offerings are repeatable, operationally efficient, and aligned with customer needs. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong process design skills and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable product architectures.

Product Architecture & Standards

Define and optimize CDP product architecture standards, design patterns, and best practices.

Reduce development duration, cost, and risk by driving reuse of proven, standardized product capabilities.

Partner with Product Managers to translate use cases and requirements into actionable, development-ready specifications.

Cross‑Functional Alignment

Serve as the primary technical liaison between Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Implementation, and Solution Architecture.

Ensure clear cross-functional understanding of product features, capabilities, and lifecycle impacts.

Participate in the Technology Design Request (TDR) process to refine customer requirements and align them to standard product features.

Service Design & Documentation

Develop and maintain service descriptions, solution guides, implementation documents, operational processes, and knowledge‑base content.

Identify and define operational work instructions required to support each service area.

Ensure services follow a continual service improvement methodology by engaging regularly with Operations, Implementation, and Solution Architecture teams.

Training & Enablement

Provide training on new and existing CDP services to Solution Architecture teams and other internal stakeholders.

Advocate for consistent service, solution, and architectural standards across the organization.

Business & Portfolio Alignment

Understand CDP portfolio cost structures (COGS), P&L considerations, and their impact on product strategy.

Recommend and implement improvements that enhance quality, customer experience, and operational performance.

Required Qualifications

7+ years of experience in service design, architecture, or product development within an IT services provider.

Deep expertise across virtualization, cloud computing, multi-cloud architectures, networking, disaster recovery, and backup technologies.

Working knowledge of security and compliance considerations within service design.

Demonstrated success collaborating with engineering, product, marketing, and IT teams to deliver new services.

Strong ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear, actionable guidance.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high execution quality.

Excellent analytical and creative problem‑solving skills.

Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with a managed infrastructure, hosting, or cloud service provider in an architectural, operational, or solutions architecture role.

Broad multidisciplinary technical background across IT infrastructure, hyperscale-native services, and software/service development lifecycles.

Strong business and data analysis capabilities.

Physical Requirements

Ability to work in an office environment.

Ability to work remotely when required with sufficient workspace, cell phone connectivity, and an adequate Internet connection.

Ability to use the computer keyboard and mouse for extended periods of time.

After-hours networking and customer interaction required.

Travel 20% of the time.

Base Pay Range Hourly salary range offered for this position is estimated to be

$170,000 - $180,000 . However, the actual pay range depends on each candidate’s experience, location, and qualifications.

Variable Pay Discretionary annual bonus, based on personal and company performance.
