Under the direction of the Public and Government Affairs Manager, the Communications Coordinator will provide communications and administrative support to the Public and Government Affairs team including:

Providing Communications support

Drafting and compiling internal communications content

Posting content for internal communications on internal signage

Developing Canva flyers

Supporting compilation of survey or polling data

Supporting scheduling of sponsored external communications & advertising

Providing Social Media support

Posting content on social media channels

Developing a social media posting calendar

Drafting social media content

Monitoring social media channels

Taking photographs for social media or other communications needs

Supporting Events and Administrative Duties

Assisting in scheduling public affairs events as needed

Reaching out to employee groups to gather information on community events

Keeping track of promotional giveaway items

Supporting internal team planning meetings and budgets

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university

Previous experience within: Government Affairs, Oil & Gas, Chemical Manufacturing Sectors or similar industry
