Description We are looking for a candidate to maintain our data entry in sales and inventory. This role will also work as an Inside Sales Representative to maintain, grow, and service new and existing accounts.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, confident, and poised, and enjoy interacting with people. This position serves as liaison between the company and its customers, providing them assistance with order placement, order changes, order status, shipment scheduling and general concerns. This role works closely with other sales staff, purchasing, management, and customers.

Position Summary The role of the Inside Sales/ Inventory Clerk is to sell and provide guidance about products needed by customers. In addition, their role is to maintain data entry in sales and inventory.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and maintain relationships with potential and existing clients.

Identifies and locates new clients through a variety of methods including networking and cold calls.

Applies knowledge of the field and product features to match products to the needs of clients.

Answers inquiries from clients concerning products, their uses, and the industry at large.

Provides information, quotes, credit terms, and other bid specifications to clients.

Negotiates prices, terms of sales, and submits orders.

Collaborate with purchasing manager and other staff to confirm that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and that products are distributed properly.

Follow up on quotes and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.

Data entry for all materials received, used, and shipped.

Schedule and create all shipping documentation.

Create all receiving and plant material usage sheets.

Invoicing.

Accountable for the Inventory in the warehouse, including coordinating with General Manager.

Analyzes inventory procedures; recommends updates and improvements.

Ensures that products are identified, weighed, and warehoused correctly.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (knowledge, Skills, And Abilities)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent sales and negotiation skills.

Thorough understanding of products to be sold.

Organized with attention to detail.

Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.

Steel industry knowledge is an asset.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

At least one year of sales experience is required.

Preferred experience in data entry and customer relations.
