Regional Sales Manager
to manage and expand business across the Western United States.
Summary
Location:
Remote (West Coast U.S. ideally SoCal)
Reports to:
NA Sales Director
Travel:
30-50%
across within the Territory
Territory Focus:
Primarily California, with emphasis on Southern California

With operations across Europe, North America, and Asia, the company supports customers in sectors such as automotive, aerospace, defense, medical device manufacturing, and precision machining.
Job Responsibilities The
Regional Sales Manager
will play a critical role in stabilizing and growing the company’s presence in the Western U.S. territory. The role will initially focus on strengthening existing distributor relationships and customer accounts, followed by driving new business development and market expansion.
The position requires a technically capable sales professional who is comfortable working directly with machine shops, understanding machining processes, and supporting customers with practical, hands‑on solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and grow the assigned West Coast territory, with a primary focus on California.
Stabilize and develop existing customer accounts and distributor relationships within the region.
Work closely with distributor partners and independent rep agencies to coordinate territory strategy, ride‑alongs, and customer visits.
Conduct regular shop visits to evaluate machining processes and identify opportunities for fluid optimization and performance improvement.
Provide technical sales support to customers by understanding machining operations, tooling, and fluid applications.
Identify and develop new business opportunities within job shops, contract manufacturers, and OEM supply chains.
Collaborate with the internal technical team to support trials, troubleshooting, and product implementation.
Qualifications and requirements
3 – 7+ years of sales experience
within the metalworking or machining industry.
Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand machining processes and fluid applications.
Experience selling
metalworking fluids, coolants, cutting oils, cleaners, rust preventatives , or related products strongly preferred.
Tooling sales background (cutting tools, drills, mills, machining solutions) is highly desirable.
Comfortable working in machine shop environments and interacting with operators, machinists, and shop owners.
Experience managing distributor relationships and coordinating field activities with rep agencies.
Self‑motivated and capable of managing a large territory independently.
Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.
