
Gift Card Sales Specialist, Accounts Receivable - Lakeland

Description
This position is responsible for increasing sales and providing support to customers with problems related to gift cards. Other responsibilities include balancing credit card payments and providing accounting support for general ledger analysis for various general ledger accounts.
Responsibilities Include
Providing day-to-day operational support to customers regarding Publix gift cards.
Labeling, packaging, and shipping all gift card orders neatly and timely to meet customer expectations.
Reconciling customer accounts when orders are cancelled or replacements are requested by customers.
Maintaining proper aging, credit card balancing and out of balances on the Gift Card accounts.
Providing ongoing support to IS, Marketing and Advertising, Community Affairs, and Strategy Support.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Marketing or equivalent experience
3 years’ experience in a customer service role
Excellent skills in written and verbal communication with the ability to communicate with all levels of the company
Ability to multi-task and handle large volumes of work at once
Exhibit professionalism and the ability to deal with confidential subject matter
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to be customer service focused
Technical skills
Willingness to be a team player
Ability to work under deadlines and handle the pressure of deadlines
Flexible in dealing with a variety of situations
Experience working with MS Office applications, including, but not limited to Excel, Access, and Word
Willingness to work a variable work week schedule, which may include working long hours or overtime if needed
Excellent attendance and punctuality

Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or another analytical discipline
5 years’ experience in a customer service role
Knowledge of Accounting Principles and Accounts Receivable functions
Knowledge and understanding of Publix’s Customer Personal Information Protection (CPIP) policy
Knowledge of Quality Improvement Process (QIP) improvement methodology
Advanced knowledge of SAP, Corporate Gift Card Fulfillment System, Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Access, Excel, and Word), OSI, Vantiv IQ, Cybersource, and Accurint

Year End Bonus To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check.
