About the Role
We are hiring a Freight Sales Representative to join our growing transportation sales team. This is an entry-level, high-activity sales role focused on generating new freight opportunities and building a pipeline of shippers relationships.
This role is designed for individuals who want to build a career in logistics sales. You will develop the core skills required to succeed in freight brokerage including prospecting, qualifying opportunities, understanding shipping needs, and supporting the sales process through close.
Success in this role requires energy, resilience, and a strong work ethic. This is a performance-driven environment where activity, persistence, and the ability to build relationships drive results.
This is an individual contributor sales role and does not involve managing a team.
What You Will Do
Prospect new shipping opportunities through cold calling, email outreach, networking, and referrals
Research target companies, industries, and shipping profiles to identify potential freight opportunities
Conduct high-volume outbound outreach to introduce transportation solutions and generate sales conversations
Build and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities
Qualify prospects by identifying shipping lanes, freight volumes, service needs, and pricing opportunities
Schedule discovery calls and meetings for deeper sales discussions
Support the sales process by preparing pricing requests and service proposals
Track all outreach activity, opportunities, and pipeline progress within CRM
Learn transportation solutions including truckload, LTL, consolidation, and brokerage services
Collaborate with senior sales executives to develop freight opportunities and close new business
Performance Expectations This role operates in a fast-paced sales environment with clear activity and pipeline expectations.
Consistently perform high levels of outbound prospecting activity
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified shipping opportunities
Develop strong communication and relationship-building skills
