Our client seeks a strategic, full-stack design leader to take products from zero to one in close partnership with Product and Engineering. The role requires expertise in Figma, strong communication, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment. An enterprise SaaS background is required, with consumer experience highly desired, and a high level of craft and visual design excellence is expected.

Rate: $80.00 to $90.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Define the experience strategy for a multi-feature product and drive consensus across teams.
  • Set the bar for design excellence and visual quality across the platform.
  • Leverage quantitative and qualitative data to inform design decisions and deliver user and business impact.
  • Facilitate cross-functional workshops to ideate and establish conceptual direction.
  • Create and deliver high-fidelity designs, prototypes, and detailed specifications.
  • Contribute to and evolve the product design system.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to translate concepts into usable and valuable features.
  • Lead and participate in design critiques to solicit and provide thoughtful feedback.
Experience Requirements:
  • 7 to 10 years of experience as a Product Designer in-house or at an agency.
  • Enterprise SaaS background with experience in complex product spaces.
  • Expert proficiency with Figma and prototyping workflows.
  • End-to-end experience designing consumer-facing experiences for web and native apps.
  • Strong visual design craft, including typography, layout, balance, and proportion.
  • Demonstrated aesthetic judgment and attention to detail.
  • Ability to articulate design decisions, ideas, and vision to cross-functional partners.
  • Experience mentoring designers on design excellence, quality, and craft.
  • History of shipping products, including work in fast-paced startup environments.
  • Experience working with and contributing to design systems.
  • Organized, self-directed, and able to prioritize, manage workload, and meet deadlines.
  • Experience collaborating with Engineers, Product Managers, and User Researchers.
  • Experience with ecommerce, payments, or checkout (preferred).
  • Experience with white-label solutions (preferred).
