Position Overview We’re looking for an energetic, reliable, and customer‑focused Member Experience Representative II (Personal Banker) to join our Alliance Credit Union family. As the face of our branches, you’ll play a vital role in creating a delightful, knowledgeable, and proactive member experience, every interaction matters! We need someone to provide higher‑level account services (primarily new accounts and loan applications) at the branch in Hazelwood. The position starts at $21 per hour, with a $2 per hour bump for Saturdays and an additional $10 per day for in‑branch shifts (6+ hours). MERs are also eligible for additional pay through cross‑training programs.
Typical Hours: Monday‑Friday 8:15 am‑5:15 pm or 8:45 am‑5:45 pm. Your shift will change between these two shifts. Typically you will work a 4 to 5 hour shift every other Saturday but will have a half day during the week if you are scheduled Saturday.
What You’ll Do
Provide exceptional member service (in person, by phone, chat, email, etc.) while delivering the Alliance Credit Union brand promise.
Identify member needs and cross‑sell all credit union products and services in accordance with branch goals. You will serve as a role model for staff in achieving department sales and service goals.
Conduct consumer and mortgage loan interviews, process loans, and close loans accurately and efficiently.
Follow all workflow processes and maintain confidentiality.
Perform financial and non‑financial transactions in accordance with credit union operating policies and workflow procedures.
Ensure that all individual work is kept current and that assigned projects are completed in a timely manner and report any areas of concern to branch management.
Participate in branch meetings, company meetings and/or trainings, business development, and community engagement as assigned.
Follow up on new and existing member referrals from other departments, dormant accounts, maturing CDs, loan payoff list, outbound calls on new accounts list for the purpose of ensuring members satisfaction and cross‑selling additional products and services.
Cross‑train is required for the purpose of becoming competent to perform the position, serve the members, and personal growth.
What You’ll Bring Skills (we are willing to train you) & Knowledge
General knowledge and understanding of the banking industry, specific to the credit union differential advantage.
Proficient knowledge for performing all financial transactions.
General knowledge of ledgers in order to assist members with statement balancing and accounting questions.
General knowledge of identifying and constructing a comprehensive financial plan and budgeting.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle large cash volumes accurately.
Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational knowledge.
Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced retail banking environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and teller systems.
Understanding of credit union products, services, and regulations.
Attitude & Values
