About The Role Manager, Sales Development

– you’ll lead our outbound sales development efforts, building and scaling outbound programs that generate high-quality pipeline for our sales team while hiring and developing a world-class, diverse team of SDRs with clear growth paths across the business.

Location:

Chicago, IL (Hybrid). 3 days per week in-office: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.

Employment:

Full time, Permanent, Exempt.

Compensation:

OTE $191,500 – $235,000 (USD, US only). This includes base salary, commissions, equity, bonus, retirement plans, health benefits, and wellness stipends.

Reporting to:

Director, Sales Development.

Responsibilities

Recruit, hire, onboard, and coach a team of outbound sales development representatives.

Coach the team on identifying high-potential customers and personalized messaging that delivers qualified pipeline to our Enterprise and Corporate sales teams.

Foster a culture of coaching (call shadowing, mock role plays, etc.) to ramp new reps and build their sales acumen and Webflow value knowledge set throughout their tenure.

Ensure the team efficiently prospects outbound focus accounts, leveraging marketing resources and inbound signals to influence messaging.

Drive accountability of team daily/weekly metrics.

Effectively report on business and forecast weekly against monthly/quarterly goals.

Work closely with Sales Managers and Account Executives to ensure meeting Quality/Quantity and proper follow‑up.

Collaborate with the People Team and cross‑functional leaders to create strong paths for career advancement within Sales and other areas of the business.

Be in office 3 days per week with your team to foster an energized, coaching‑focused, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

2+ years of Sales Development leadership experience.

Strong belief that sales is done on the phone, supported by other outreach channels.

Experience cross‑functionally with Marketing and Enterprise Sales on content, talk tracks, execution and lead optimization.

Ability to thrive in ambiguity and work autonomously.

Experience hiring, onboarding and developing direct reports early in their sales careers.

Experience with Salesforce.com, marketing/sales automation platforms (e.g., Outreach or Salesloft) and AI‑driven sales development tools. Comfort driving outcomes through data‑driven insights.

Experience in a closing role, ideally comfortable with full‑cycle outbound sales.

Passion for developing people, giving feedback and striving for a high‑performing, energized team.

Curiosity and openness to growth – actively building fluency in emerging technologies like AI.
