
Aftermarket Sales Account Specialist

Hiring an Aftermarket Sales Account Specialist in Shakopee, MN Responsible for managing and growing aftermarket sales accounts within Evoqua's Light Industry Sales (LIT) team, which provides a complete line of pretreatment, generation, storage, and distribution solutions for high purity and wastewater applications in aerospace, beverage, government, health sciences, microelectronics, pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals, universities, labs, and general industry. Sells products and/or services to customers through a variety of mediums and acts as a point of contact post‑sale, focusing on ongoing customer satisfaction, retention, and growing the business. Builds relationships with accounts through ongoing client contact and support. Maintains relationships with most accounts virtually but occasionally travels into the field for face‑to‑face meetings and site visits. Closes sales within territory, defined by geographic area, industry, or product/service group. Responds to client inquiries and offers bold recommendations on appropriate products and services. Must work with a sense of urgency to execute sales strategy, generate sales reports, and identify opportunities to increase sales volume while ensuring service levels are met. May work in tandem with the outside sales team to achieve sales goals and revenue targets.
Core Responsibilities and Tasks
Contacts both new and existing customers to sell new and recurring business
Creates and delivers quotes and proposals to deliver to customers
Ensures customer satisfaction and retention
Accurately records information in CRM for forecasting
Continues to stay up to date on company and customer technology to remain a trusted partner
Completes routine sales following established practices and policies
Sells less‑complex products/services; very tactical sales
Smaller accounts and revenue responsibility; fewer accounts to be responsible for
Partners with senior sales reps to begin building contacts and identifying opportunities
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Up to 3 years of experience
Preferred Qualifications
BA/BS preferred
Knowledge and Experience
Strong communication skills
Intra‑departmental communication for alignment and information sharing
Customer‑facing interaction
Sales experience
Ability to learn sales techniques & company products/services
Ability to understand entry‑level concepts in execution and organization skills
Ability to execute tasks with guidance
Ability to work under clearly defined guidelines
Basic understanding of ERP and CRM systems
Fluency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Physical Requirements
Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis.
Must be able to walk, write, and type on a frequent basis.
Must be able to climb and descend stairs.
Must be able to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on an occasional basis.
Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
May be exposed to varying amounts of dust and dirt.
Work surfaces may include concrete.
Employee must be able to operate a computer and communicate via telephone.
Some travel to other locations, meetings, and/or seminars is required.
Travel Requirements: 10%
The estimated salary range for this position is $53,300 to $85,300 plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience, and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
