The State of New Hampshire, Lottery Commission, Sales Division has a full-time vacancy for a Sales Support Specialist.
Summary:
To work closely with NH Lottery Retailers, NH Lottery Sales Representatives, and Sales Management by acting as a central point of contact. Entering, tracking, accurately reporting sales information, researching and preparing reports, providing projections and analyzing information are core functions for this job.
YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS:
Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience: Equivalent combination of 4 years of education and experience after completion of high school. Education and experience must be in marketing, business administration, sales or a related field.
License/Certification: Valid driver's license or access to transportation.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
2+ years of sales and marketing experience.
AFTER-HIRE REQUIREMENTS:
Will be required to obtain a State of New Hampshire defensive driving certificate after hire.

When applicable, the work of an employee in trainee status in this position shall be overseen by a fully qualified individual. Responsibilities:
Work with vendors to coordinate equipment changes and installation, track and request retailer troubleshooting, deploy terminal messages to retailers, act as a backup for conducting weekly meetings, and handle any requests from Lottery stakeholders and partners.
Track all retailer updates in the back-office system, including parameter changes, equipment updates, confirming work requests were completed, and other miscellaneous changes.
Monitor and update the sales force automation tool for field staff, including equipment updates, surveys, tasks, documentation uploads, and fillable forms.
Reach out to and respond to sales-specific inquiries from retailers and Sales Representatives. Troubleshoot retailer issues related to ticket stock, commissions and bonuses, change of ownership, and shipping schedules.
Serve as a secondary backup to the Sales Office if needed. Ensure proper product appearance and merchandising within the Sales Office. Provide excellent customer service while ensuring proper money handling, inventory balancing, and processing claims.
Run, prepare, and compile weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and other reports, including summarizing data and findings for review by Sales Management.
Create and submit promotion requests, order and organize promotional items (including scratch tickets). Assist with procurement for use by retailers and sales representatives in accordance with the State of New Hampshire procurement guidelines, including menu boards, dispensers, and other items.
Gather, review, and process financial and statistical data, and analyze material for use in various sales forums. Research market conditions, economic changes, and sales or takeovers of retail stores and chains. Assess potential impacts on the NH Lottery, participate in promotional campaign development to boost lottery sales, and recommend promotional activities tailored to individual retailers’ needs.
Establish operating procedures applicable to the sales team.
Serve as a backup to the Sales Support Supervisor when they are unavailable, assisting with overall field management. Participate in other projects as assigned.
