Responsibilities
Staff Management: Hiring, training, supervising, and scheduling staff to ensure adequate coverage and quality care.
Resident Care: Ensuring residents receive appropriate care, support, and opportunities for personal growth, including assistance with daily living activities and healthcare needs.
Financial Management: Developing and maintaining budgets, managing overtime and other finances, and ensuring the home operates within established financial parameters.
Compliance: Ensuring the group home adheres to all relevant state and federal regulations and licensing requirements.
Safety and Maintenance: Overseeing the physical environment of the home, ensuring it is safe, clean, and well‑maintained.
Communication and Collaboration: Maintaining effective communication with residents, staff, families, and external agencies.
Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records and reports related to residents, staff, finances, and operations.
Providing directions for the day‑to‑day operation of the group home, ensuring treatment interventions are maintained and communicated through various shifts.
Providing input regarding resident care and supervision to interested parties.
Leading and participating in the development of Individual Treatment Plans and coordinating individual/group/family therapies.
Ensuring that safety procedures and residents’ rights are strictly enforced.
Managing the day‑to‑day finances of residents and the group home.
Overseeing the maintenance of residents, assigned vehicles, and other equipment.
Participating as a treatment team member for all residents’ cases in the group home.
Strictly adhering to and recognizing State of Montana licensing standards, including actively participating in yearly licensing reviews.
Providing employee supervision, counseling, and direction as needed, including completing performance evaluations.
Planning, escorting, and supervising residents during community and group activities, including recreational, leisure, vocational, and educational activities to build skills and develop appropriate coping mechanisms.
Working towards achieving key performance indicators on a regular and consistent basis.
Attending and participating in mandatory training, in‑services, staff meetings, and Corporate Committees as assigned.
Undergoing training and passing testing in the following areas upon hiring: H.E.L.P. (de-escalation and therapeutic holds), Medication Certification, First Aid/CPR, Blood‑Borne Pathogens, Client/Employee Health and Safety, and Behavior Intervention Skills.
Salary AWARE residential coordinators earn
$65,000 per year .
Requirements
A BS/BA Degree in Human Services or at least four (4) years of direct employment experience, including a supervisory or leadership position for two (2) years.
Must have, or be willing to obtain, a valid Montana Driver’s License.
Must have an acceptable driving record and pass a criminal background check.
