Recore Electric, one of the Southeast's largest Industrial Electrical Contractors, is seeking a Lead Electrical BIM Designer to support its electrical engineering and BIM teams. The company performs electrical construction and design services across a wide range of industrial and commercial projects. This role serves as the technical link between the electrical engineering team and the Revit drafting group. The position focuses on executing electrical system layouts in Revit, coordinating circuiting and lighting designs under engineer oversight, and ensuring electrical drawing packages are coordinated and ready for release. This is not a project management or client-facing role. The position focuses on technical coordination, BIM modeling, and supporting engineering by translating design intent into clear and constructible drawings. All design work is performed under the direction and oversight of licensed electrical engineers. Primary Responsibilities

BIM Modeling & Production

Model electrical systems in Autodesk Revit, including power distribution, branch circuiting, lighting systems, and equipment connections Maintain model organization, accuracy, and compliance with internal BIM standards Support project teams with model setup, coordination, and output preparation Participate in model federation and clash coordination using Navisworks when required Electrical Design Support

Assist with electrical system layouts including branch circuiting, feeder routing, conduit sizing, and panel connections under engineer oversight Execute circuiting layouts in Revit based on engineer-defined system intent and design criteria Develop electrical layouts that reflect engineering intent while maintaining constructability and coordination with other disciplines Identify routing conflicts or constructability challenges and coordinate solutions with engineering Lighting Layout & Controls Coordination

Develop lighting layouts based on engineer-defined design criteria and fixture selections Coordinate switching zones, lighting controls, emergency lighting, and egress lighting requirements Implement revisions as architectural layouts and project requirements evolve Engineer to Drafter Coordination

Serve as the primary technical liaison between electrical engineers and the Revit drafting team Translate engineering direction, sketches, and redlines into modeling tasks Provide guidance and support to drafters during project development Drawing Package Preparation & Quality Control

Prepare electrical drawing sets for project milestone releases (30%, 60%, 90%, and IFC) Perform first-pass QA/QC reviews to ensure drawings align with engineering intent and internal standards Ensure engineer redlines are incorporated accurately and consistently BIM Standards & Team Support
