As a key member of the Old St. Patrick’s Staff Team, the Marketing and Communications Coordinator executes on the parish strategy to represent Old St. Pat’s to both internal and external audiences, grow engagement and deepen affinity. The Coordinator will work on projects as assigned by the Director and collaborate with Staff across the organization. There will also be collaboration with external partner vendors (freelance, printers, etc.) and need for connection and communication with our members.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Recommend and assist in the enhancements to communication vehicles, process and execution. Support brand presence through cross platform brand execution, training of staff, volunteers, partners on brand guidelines and effective implementation of the brand.

Organize content from internal and external audiences to meet weekly deliverables and proactively prepare for future publications.

Under the supervision of the Marketing Director, lead internal and external audiences in the creation, deployment and measurement of social media, video and email and executes on the day-to-day deliverables.

Produce the major Parish communication vehicles, such as weekly printed bulletin & e-newsletter, as well as print ads, email campaigns, social, video.

Manage workflow, turnaround time and ensure on-time delivery of assigned projects.

Ability to prioritize and multi-task multiple projects/deliverables under tight timeframes. Partner with external freelance and vendors in the creation and development of content, as needed.

Create and maintain records and shared drives – partner with internal Staff and external partners to provide assets in timely manner.

Ability to learn and effectively use project management tools, CRM, Email systems and technology. Track weekly engagement and outreach Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for engagement and outreach.

Graphic design: Ability to create graphic design needs/communications for the organization including Canva or Adobe.

Create/maintain Marketing calendar identifying existing major Liturgical and Ministry programs and Parish events and other supporting key activities.

Participate in events, programs, and Mass. This will include some Sundays, evenings, Christmas, Easter, and Pentecost.

Willingness to be mentored and coached.

Also, an ability to share personal point-of-view and ask questions to both learn and seek clarity.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Execution Leadership: Strong project management and interpersonal skills-proactive, approachable and problem-solver. Ability to solve issues quickly through open dialogue.

Must be comfortable working with internal Staff and Church Members of all ages and demographics.

Strategic thinking, creative and forward thinker, excellent writing, editing, some design ability; Highly organized with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and campaigns with competing deadlines.

Adept using the following programs, for campaign design and execution: Canva Pro, Asana, Adobe Creative Suite (including video), Google Office Suite, & Microsoft Office Suite, Meta Business Suite (posting/analytics), MailChimp, Vimeo, YouTube and video editing tools.

Must demonstrate understanding, respect, and support for both Old St. Pat’s and Catholic Church mission and values.

Education/Experience

Bachelor's degree in marketing or communications or a related field

2-5 years' experience in marketing, communications, or public relations and across multiple channels (focus on email/CRM, print, video and digital/social)

Nonprofit, education, or faith-based experience preferred.

This position has an annualized salary range of $45,000.00 - $55,000.00. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on many factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and organizational needs.
