Their equipment supports a wide range of production environments across food, beverage, nutraceutical, chemical, and consumer packaged goods manufacturing. About the Role:

The Sales Director role is designed for a proven sales leader who thrives in capital equipment environments and enjoys building high-performance teams while driving strategic revenue growth. This position focuses on expanding market presence, developing new customer relationships, and increasing system-level equipment sales across multiple manufacturing industries. The ideal candidate will lead both inside and outside sales teams while carrying a personal quota and overseeing complex, consultative sales cycles involving integrated packaging automation systems. Working closely with engineering, applications, and leadership teams, you will help position the company’s machinery portfolio as a trusted long-term solution for manufacturers seeking automation and production line efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute national sales strategies to drive revenue growth, new customer acquisition, and expanded market share. Lead, coach, and develop a team of inside and outside sales representatives responsible for capital equipment system sales. Manage key strategic accounts while maintaining a personal pipeline and quota for integrated packaging automation projects. Provide consultative sales leadership across complex opportunities involving filling, capping, labeling, conveying, and end-of-line automation systems. Collaborate with engineering, applications, and marketing teams to deliver tailored production line solutions for customers. Maintain strong pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, and CRM discipline across the sales organization. Participate in customer meetings, facility walk-throughs, trade shows, and industry events to support large capital equipment opportunities. Qualifications:

Strong technical and mechanical aptitude with the ability to clearly communicate the value of complex capital equipment systems. Proven leadership experience in industrial sales, ideally within packaging machinery, processing equipment, or automation solutions. Demonstrated success managing and developing sales teams while achieving aggressive revenue targets. Experience selling project-based capital equipment into manufacturing environments such as food, beverage, chemical, or consumer products. Willingness to travel regularly to customer facilities, industry trade shows, and internal team meetings.
