About the Role:
The Sales Director is designed for a strategic commercial leader who understands the dynamics of capital equipment sales within food manufacturing. This position focuses on driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and strengthening customer relationships across North America within protein processing and prepared foods production.
The ideal candidate will lead national sales initiatives while working closely with engineering, applications, and service teams to deliver consultative processing solutions. The role involves managing key accounts, guiding complex capital equipment sales cycles, and positioning the company’s processing technologies as critical components of modern food production lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute national sales strategies to drive revenue growth and expand market penetration within food processing industries.
- Lead and mentor a team of sales professionals responsible for capital equipment and integrated processing system sales.
- Manage key strategic accounts while cultivating new relationships with large food manufacturers and protein processors.
- Provide consultative sales leadership around further processing technologies including coating, battering, breading, and frying systems.
- Conduct customer site visits, plant walk-throughs, and equipment demonstrations to support large capital equipment opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and applications teams to deliver tailored processing solutions for customers.
- Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM discipline across the sales organization.
- Represent the company at industry trade shows, technical demonstrations, and food manufacturing events.
Qualifications:
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to communicate complex food processing equipment solutions in a consultative manner.
- Proven leadership experience in capital equipment sales within food processing, protein processing, or industrial automation.
- Demonstrated success managing sales teams while achieving aggressive revenue growth targets.
- Experience selling project-based equipment into food manufacturing environments such as poultry, seafood, prepared foods, or alternative proteins.
- Willingness to travel regularly to customer facilities, industry trade shows, and internal team meetings.
