About The Job
Develop the category through best‑in‑class fit, fabric, finish, style and sundries development
Communicate a clear design point of view around an athletic‑inspired, casual lifestyle brand look that supports the brand identity
Identify trends in the global and local marketplace and filter through brand aesthetic
Contribute to the direction of the business by establishing design vision and formulating original concepts
Develop seasonal design platforms and concepts by identifying consumer‑relevant opportunities through market research
Ensure seasonal collection communicates both big fashion ideas and locally relevant messages that result in an integrated consumer experience
Understand nuances in both global and local consumer behavior and competitive pressures
Understand broader design trends across multiple categories
Complete the design process components to achieve or exceed targets for the seasonal calendar, assortment plan and source location requirements
Sustain partnerships with Merchandising, Product Development and Sourcing to ensure products are engineered to profit and quality/aesthetic goals
Manage creation of PLM BOM data integrity: protos, commercial samples and production
Work with GTM timelines, processes and deliverables
Design product with a sustainable mindset and +Net Positive without compromising aesthetics
About You
Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design or related field
6+ years of Design experience in the apparel category, preferably in athleisure or athletic‑inspired category or brand
Creative Suite knowledge: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Reader, PowerPoint, and PLM
Experience with design process
Solid flat sketching skills, good design and color sense
Experience with product construction (e.g., finishes, fabrics, hardware, stitches, safety requirements)
Knowledge of fit model and standard measurements
This is a hybrid position based in our Culver City, CA headquarters. We expect you in office 3 days per week, typically Tuesday‑Thursday. Note, time in office can vary depending on needs.
The expected starting salary range for this role is $xx-$xx per year. We may pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. We will base the amount an employee will earn within the salary range on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, performance and our needs.
