Queer Film Collective LA, Los Angeles, CA, United States

The Queer Film Collective (QFC) is a Los Angeles–based nonprofit dedicated to supporting, uplifting, and connecting LGBTQ+ filmmakers at every stage of their careers. We exist to create the kind of industry we wish we had entered—one that is accessible, collaborative, and genuinely inclusive.

We serve queer creatives across disciplines, with a focus on early-career and emerging artists who are often shut out of traditional industry pathways. Through community events, screenings, educational programming, and production opportunities, we aim to remove barriers and create tangible pathways into the entertainment industry.

At our core, QFC is about community over competition. We believe that queer storytelling is essential, that representation behind the camera matters just as much as on screen, and that no one should have to navigate this industry alone. Our work centers accessibility, equity, and mutual support, and we are committed to building spaces where queer artists can grow, collaborate, and be celebrated.

Whether someone is attending their first mixer, joining a production, or premiering their work, QFC is here to help them take the next step.

The Photographer captures the energy, connection, and creativity of QFC events. This role is responsible for documenting screenings, panels, and community gatherings through high-quality photography.

Their work will be used for marketing, archives, and storytelling, helping showcase the impact of QFC and the artists within it. The Photographer should be comfortable working in live event settings and able to capture both candid and composed moments.

This role plays an important part in shaping how QFC is seen and remembered.

This position is currently volunteer-based as we work toward building a sustainable, salaried organization.
