
Credit Collections Specialist - Bilingual (English/Spanish)

A financial institution is seeking a Credit & Collections Analyst to support its loan servicing and risk management functions. This role is responsible for monitoring delinquent accounts, coordinating collection efforts, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Monitor consumer and/or commercial loan portfolios for past-due and delinquent accounts
Contact customers regarding overdue balances and negotiate repayment arrangements
Review credit agreements, loan documents, and payment histories
Document all collection activity accurately within internal systems
Escalate accounts for restructuring, charge-off, or legal action when appropriate
Work closely with Credit, Risk, Legal, and Loan Operations teams
Ensure all collection practices comply with federal, state, and banking regulations
Prepare reports on delinquency trends, recoveries, and portfolio performance
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in credit, collections, or loan servicing within a bank or financial institution
Strong understanding of consumer and/or commercial credit products
Knowledge of FDCPA, UCC, and applicable banking regulations
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Strong documentation and organizational abilities
Proficiency with loan servicing systems and Microsoft Office
