Strategy & Operations Associate/Sr. Associate (DC)

Coral Care, Washington, District of Columbia, United States

Coral Care Strategy & Operations Associate/Sr. Associate (DC) Washington, DC · Full time The Strategy & Operations Associate tackles high-impact problems across the company, building systems, running experiments, and launching initiatives that help Coral Care scale.

About Coral Care At Coral Care, we believe families should never have to fight for the care their children need. Millions of young children in the U.S. experience developmental delays, yet parents often face long waitlists and complex systems. Our mission is to change that by making high‑quality pediatric therapy accessible at home and in the community. We are a platform powering a two‑sided marketplace: helping families connect with trusted, local speech, occupational, and physical therapists who accept insurance, and supporting providers in building thriving private practices within their own communities. Since launching in 2023, Coral Care has delivered thousands of therapy sessions and expanded across multiple states. We are a fast‑growing, mission‑driven team with a culture of compassion, collaboration, and momentum — and we are just getting started.

Description Washington, DC | In Office (2‑3 days/week)

About the Role We are building a small team of high‑impact operators who can turn strategic priorities into operational reality.

As a Strategy & Operations Associate, you will work across multiple parts of the business — including marketing, growth, provider operations, and customer experience — to identify opportunities, run experiments, and build systems that help Coral Care scale.

This role is designed for someone who thrives in ambiguity, loves solving complex operational problems, and enjoys building tools and workflows that unlock leverage for a team.

You will test growth ideas, build AI‑powered tools that increase team productivity, identify operational bottlenecks, and launch cross‑functional initiatives from concept through execution.

You might be diagnosing and solving for why providers in a new market are slow to engage, working with the patient team to improve how families get matched, or partnering with our credentialing team to turn a manual workflow into something that scales. You'll go deep where it matters and stay connected across the whole system.

If you enjoy moving quickly, wearing many hats, and seeing your work translate into real business outcomes, this role will give you a front‑row seat to how a fast‑growing company operates.

Why This Role Is Unique This is not a traditional operations role.

You will tackle some of the company’s highest‑priority problems across multiple functions, helping turn strategic ideas into operational systems that work at scale.

Many of the projects in this role will not have a clear owner yet. Your job will be to step in, bring structure, run experiments, and drive measurable outcomes.

People who thrive in this role tend to be unusually curious, fast‑moving, and comfortable figuring things out in real time.

For the right person, this role offers a rare opportunity to shape how a fast‑growing company operates. Last year we grew 4X, and this role will be instrumental in building the foundations to continue our exponential growth.

What You’ll Do Drive growth and operational experiments:

Partner across our marketplace team to design and run experiments that improve utilization and engagement, retention, and operational efficiency.

Build AI‑powered tools and workflows:

Use AI tools to create systems that multiply the output of small teams — from automation workflows and internal dashboards to operational tools that reduce manual work.

Identify and solve operational gaps:

Work closely with functional leaders to identify friction in our systems and processes, then design and implement solutions that improve how Coral Care operates.

Own cross‑functional initiatives:

Take ownership of high‑impact projects that span multiple teams, translating strategic priorities into concrete action plans and driving execution from concept through launch.

Run rapid tests and analyze results:

Launch and analyze experiments across multiple parts of the business — from growth initiatives to operational improvements — using data to determine what should scale.

What We’re Looking For

2–6 years of professional experience with a track record of driving outcomes

Experience in marketplace, operations, or high‑growth startup environments

Strong analytical thinking and comfort designing experiments and interpreting data

Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast‑changing environments

A bias toward action and willingness to roll up your sleeves to get things done

A clear, strong communicator who’s comfortable engaging across multiple stakeholders

Strong empathy for both families seeking care and clinicians building practices

Strong preference for candidates who actively use AI tools to build systems, automate workflows, and increase operational leverage.

Location This role is based in Washington, DC. We work in person 2‑3 days per week to collaborate closely as a team.
