CI Implementation Consultant
Contract - 18 weeks Location - on-site in PA or TX (3 separate locations) Level: 5 to 10 years of consulting experience in the manufacturing industry Manufacturing focus: CI, Shop Floor, Training clients Role Summary: The CI Implementation Consultant is responsible for turning improvement plans into measurable operational results within client manufacturing environments. The role is hands-on, execution-focused, and plant-floor oriented, with a parallel responsibility to build internal client capability so improvements continue after the engagement ends. This consultant delivers results and teaches client teams how to deliver results themselves, both on-site and remotely across multiple U.S. facilities. Core Responsibilities: Execution & Implementation Lead on-site CI initiatives across production, maintenance, quality, and logistics Implement Lean, CI, and structured problem-solving methods in live operations Translate value-creation plans into standard work, routines, and measurable actions Drive rapid identification and resolution of constraints and waste Capability Building & Train-the-Trainer Develop and coach internal CI champions (supervisors, engineers, CI leads) Deliver practical, hands-on training tied to live improvement work Enable client leaders to independently run CI routines and problem-solving Create simple tools and playbooks that client teams can own and scale Transition ownership deliberately from consultant-led to client-led execution Remote & Multi-Site Enablement Lead remote training sessions, workshops, and coaching for distributed teams Adapt CI delivery for virtual environments while maintaining accountability Support consistent CI deployment across multiple facilities Reinforce common metrics, routines, and standards across sites Data & Performance Management Establish and reinforce trusted operational metrics (OEE, downtime, scrap, labor efficiency) Support daily management systems and escalation routines Tie CI activity directly to business-critical performance outcomes Required Experience & Capabilities: 5+ years in manufacturing or industrial operations Proven experience implementing and sustaining CI initiatives Demonstrated ability to train, coach, and develop others Experience leading or supporting multi-site CI efforts Comfort leading both in-person and remote sessions Background in Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, or structured problem solving Preferred (Nice to Have): Experience in PE-backed manufacturing environments Familiarity with digital CI or production-tracking tools Spanish-speaking or bilingual (English/Spanish) Formal CI or supply chain certifications
