Commercial Sales Representative
will be responsible for achieving bookings and recurring revenue quotas, prospecting, presenting products, services and solutions to commercial customers and ensuring proper documentation (often electronic) for sales agreements and proposals. Commercial representatives are expected to cultivate ongoing business with existing customers and secure new large commercial clients.

What You'll Do
Responsible for selling Vector’s commercial solutions and achieving bookings, recurring revenue and profit margin targets by proactively scheduling sales appointments with current and prospective commercial customers and ensuring offerings meet the needs of both Vector and the potential customer.
Maintain in‑depth product knowledge via ongoing training and required certifications. Educate customers about various commercial solutions including but not limited to video, intrusion, access control, and fire alarm systems.
Continuously generate commercial proposals and maintain a viable pipeline equal to at least 4 times the monthly sales quota. All proposals are tracked in the company’s CRM platform for management visibility.
Work closely with the commercial system design team and branch operations to ensure proper scope is defined for large commercial installations.
Create strategies to market products to new consumers, including identifying new target market segments/opportunities.
Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
What You'll Need
High School Diploma - required. Bachelor’s Degree - preferred.
Prospecting Skills: In order to expand our commercial business, it is important that Commercial sales representatives be able to build new relationships and generate new logos for the company. This can be done via a variety of methods including leveraging LinkedIn, social media, networking, working “Dodge” type reports, etc.
Previous Sales Experience: 3‑5 years’ experience in commercial sales - preferred.
Experience selling CCTV, Access control, Intrusion, and large commercial integrated systems.
Demonstrated success in a previous sales position.
Presentation Skills: Ability to present complex integrated solutions that are common in Large Commercial environments.
Closing Skills: Must be able to close commercial proposals at a rate deemed acceptable by management, overcome objections, and have strong negotiation skills.
Valid Driver's License.
Compensation & Earnings Potential Base salary range:
$40,000 – $50,000/year + uncapped commission. This role offers a competitive commission structure with uncapped earning potential. High‑performing representatives often earn up to $80,000 in their first year, with experienced top performers exceeding six figures.
Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications for the role. Additional benefits are outlined in the Total Rewards section below.
