Auto Service Writer Position Details Role:
Auto Service Writer

Farmington, CT
Pay:
This position starts at $20 per hour plus commission, with earning potential based on experience.
Schedule:
This is a full‑time, in‑office role with consistent hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
What You’ll Be Doing As an Auto Service Writer, your day will begin by checking in customer vehicles for service and repairs. Once technicians diagnose any issues, you will communicate those findings to the customer, write up estimates, and explain recommended services. You’ll help sell the needed work in a clear and professional manner. Throughout the day, you’ll source necessary parts using a variety of resources and assist customers in person, over the phone, and through messaging. When repairs are completed, you will handle payments and ensure a smooth vehicle pick‑up experience. Every day, you’ll play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly and customers well‑informed.
We Think You’ll Excel If You Have
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license
Comfort with computers and digital systems
Strong customer service skills
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast‑paced setting
Knowledge of the automotive industry or related experience is a plus. Sales experience is also a plus.
