California Youth Services (CYS) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening youth and families through counseling, prevention, and intervention services. We partner with schools, school districts, law enforcement, and community agencies to provide critical mental health and support services to those in need.
As demand for our services continues to grow, we are seeking a relationship-driven professional to help expand our reach and ensure more youth have access to care.
Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated, relationship-driven professional to serve as our Community Partnerships Manager. This role is focused on actively generating new referral sources and securing partnerships with schools, districts, law enforcement, and community organizations.
This is not a desk role. The ideal candidate will be out in the community, setting meetings, following up, and building relationships that convert into ongoing referral pipelines and service agreements.
Key Responsibilities
Proactively identify and pursue new partnership opportunities with schools, districts, law enforcement, and community agencies
Schedule and conduct in-person meetings to present CYS services
Build strong relationships with decision-makers and key stakeholders
Consistently follow up to move relationships toward active referral partnerships
Increase the number of active referral sources and support new contract development
Maintain a pipeline of outreach activity including meetings, contacts, and follow-ups
Represent CYS professionally in the community and at local events
What Success Looks Like
Establishing new partnerships with schools and community agencies
Creating consistent outreach activity and follow-up
Helping expand CYS’s footprint across the county
Qualifications
Experience in sales, business development, outreach, or community partnerships
Proven ability to build relationships and follow through consistently
Comfortable initiating conversations and asking for meetings
Strong communication and presentation skills
Self-starter who is goal-oriented and accountable
Experience working with schools, public agencies, or nonprofits is a plus
Passion for making a difference in the lives of youth and families
Compensation and Schedule
Part-time (15–20 hours per week)
Flexible schedule with autonomy
Mileage and approved outreach expenses reimbursed
This role is designed to grow. As partnerships expand and results are achieved, there is potential for increased hours and a transition into a full-time leadership role.
