Position Overview The Rental Manager is responsible for both sales and operations of the rental product line. This role serves as the front-line contact for prospects and customers, manages a large fleet of vehicles, matches vehicle availability with customer needs, and coordinates all aspects of the customer’s account. The focus is selling short-term rental solutions to companies with private fleets, typically ranging from one week to a year.

What You’ll Do

Sales and business growth : Prospect for new customers via cold calling, telephone solicitation, mailers, and other methods to grow the business. Build rapport quickly and maintain strong customer relationships through in-person visits, phone contact, and annual reviews. Sell rental solutions to companies with private fleets needing short-term coverage (one week to a year). Own Growth, Profit, and Positive Gross Margin performance for the Rental Department.

Operations and customer account management : Manage a large fleet and monitor rental unit condition to ensure assets are damage-free. Partner with the General Manager and Service Manager to determine proper specifications on rental assets for specific markets. Ensure customer files contain valid insurance certificates. Manage fuel tax reporting and the driver trip record process. Complete standard sales administration, including updating CRM with sales activities.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree required (or significant industry experience)

3–5 years of experience in commercial fleet management and commercial vehicle leasing

B2B sales experience in an asset-based environment

Current and valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets insurability guidelines
