Interim Director of FP&A
Our client, a growth-stage technology company, is seeking an Interim Director of FP&A to provide leadership and execution support during a period of transition within the finance organization. This position is fully remote and expected to last approximately 2–3 months, with potential for extension.
Responsibilities:
Provide interim leadership across financial planning and analysis activities
Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles in partnership with business stakeholders
Perform variance analysis and prepare financial insights to support decision‑making
Build and maintain detailed financial models to support department‑level planning
Partner with cross‑functional leaders to track spend and performance trends
Ensure continuity and stability in financial reporting during a transition period
Support collaboration and knowledge transfer within the finance organization
Assist with improving planning processes and documentation where needed
Requirements:
8+ years of progressive FP&A experience, including leadership at the manager or director level
Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in a dynamic environment
Strong financial modeling and advanced Excel capabilities
Background partnering with multiple departments in a cross‑functional setting
Ability to operate independently and drive outcomes in a lean, fast‑paced organization
