International Shipping And Receiving Specialist
The International Shipping and Receiving Specialist will be responsible for the movement of goods in and out of the warehouse, including day-to-day small parcels and larger custom-built systems being shipped to customers throughout the world. The International Shipping and Receiving Specialist is responsible for freight loading, unloading, stocking, and shipping and will support production and operations. This role includes scheduling shipments, preparing shipping paperwork including export/import documents, communicating with carriers and freight forwarders to ensure timely delivery of all products, supporting inventory management/control with cycle counts, and recording transaction information using ERP software. The ideal candidate will enjoy a mix of manual labor, communicating with partners/vendors/drivers, and detail-oriented, data-driven work in various computer software programs. Key Job Responsibilities Loading, unloading, shipping and receiving of warehouse items Preparing and coordinating with carriers LTL, FTL, and small parcel shipments Interacting with the ERP system as it relates to shipping, receiving, and inventory Completing export/import documents Receive product from outside vendors, verify counts, and enter data into the ERP Communicate the delivery of high priority inventory to the team Maintain material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections Inventory cycle counts and physical inventory counts Keep inventory and warehouse clean Communicate with vendors/drivers daily, including via phone, chat, and email Follow safety/company regulations on forklift/equipment Label, store, and organize material to ensure smooth warehouse operations Other duties as needed to support the production and operations teams Desired Skills & Qualifications Forklift certification preferred Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis Proficiency with managing shipping using an ERP system, including ability to enter and extract data from the ERP Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including basic data analysis in Excel Knowledge of best practices in global shipping/receiving, including ERP integration and warehouse barcoding to automate transactions Experience quoting with carriers to find cost effective shipping solutions Experience using shipping software (Shipstation, SureShip etc.) Knowledge of international shipping requirements and ability to independently complete paperwork Self-sufficient, detail-oriented, and organized Ability to balance speed with accuracy Excellent time management skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Problem solver and team player Customer-service oriented Education and Experience Requirements High School diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or above strongly preferred Forklift experience required 5 years' relevant experience required Working Conditions Work is performed in a warehouse environment / manufacturing floor. Level of noise is usually quiet in the office environment and temperature controlled. Noise levels are elevated in the warehouse space where temperatures can vary depending on the outside elements and weather. This role requires regular lifting of up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
