Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join our Benefits Division sales team as a Benefits Sales Specialist!
About the role
As a Benefits Sales Specialist. You will provide direct support to the Senior Sales leadership team and their direct reports. You will own moderately difficult to complex administrative tasks, including organizing, prioritizing and coordinating a range of sales support requests: administering basic invoice submission / expense analysis and periodic report distribution; acquisition integration support, third party contract support and light project coordination. This role will be responsible for handling of confidential information and could be required to communicate same to various groups within Symetra on behalf of Sales Leadership.
What you will do
- Draft, finalize and distribute presentations and communications through discussions, research, editing or other, as requested by Sales Leadership
- Manage day-to-day service needs, including monitoring claim reporting requirements, premium remittances, and ensuring accurate and timely uploads into the Employer Excess Loss platform
- Schedule and organize Sales team meetings as requested by Sales Leadership
- Capture, consolidate and distribute notes from key sales meetings
- Support agenda development and scheduling of monthly / quarterly / annual Sales call
- Assist Sales Leadership with internal and external information gathering
- As needed, serve as proxy for Sales Leader(s) in sales meetings
- Assist Sales Leadership with annual budget development, Anaplan budget data input and periodic "actuals vs budget" reporting
- Address budget change requests in Anaplan and communicate same to Finance
- Communicate with Sales Leadership on any issues impacting or related to budget
- Coordinate invoice submission, tracking and reporting for sponsored broker events, third party consultants and related Sales activities
- Track and report on external consultant activity and expenses
- Support training personnel with scheduling on-boarding and training sessions
- Provide support around training resources / material development and distribution
- Drive third party consultant support, contract adherence monitoring and communication
- Coordinate event sponsorship activities with Sales & Marketing (i.e. booth; giveaways; etc.)
- Schedule and organize Sales team and/or regional broker events in collaboration with Sales Leadership and/or Symetra's Events Team
- Collaborate with Strategic Partnership team and/or Symetra's Events Team on logistics around national broker events
- Work with third party consultant(s) to schedule / track / report on broker meetings, speaking engagements and related activities

Compensation
$27.10 - $45.16 hourly plus eligibility for Company Annual Bonus
Who you are
- High School diploma required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
- 5-7 years' experience in administrative support in a sales environment required
- Group Insurance Sales experience strongly preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated digital literacy and attention to detail
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including PowerPoint and Excel
- Ability to work independently and proactively, driving support for sales leadership team
