Job Summary

The IT Asset Management Analyst is responsible for maintaining and updating the inventory of IT assets, including hardware, software, and licenses. This role involves procuring, decommissioning, managing and tracking IT assets throughout their lifecycle, ensuring accurate records, and supporting the optimization of asset utilization. The ideal incumbent will proactively identify opportunities for process improvements in asset management.

Responsibilities

Maintain and update the inventory of IT assets, including hardware, software, and licenses.

Assist in the processes of asset procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal.

Analyze asset data to identify trends, optimize asset utilization, and support decision-making.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of asset management processes and records.

Coordinate with vendors for asset procurement, maintenance, and support.

Provide support to users regarding asset-related inquiries and issues.

Execute low-value purchases of IT assets.

Engage with procurement team for higher value purchases, ensuring compliance with company policies.

Generate reports on asset management metrics and performance to stakeholders.

Identify opportunities for improving asset management processes and contribute to their implementation.

Key Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration; 2 years of experience in IT asset management; or an equivalent combination of education and or experience in a related field.

Basic understanding of IT asset management principles and tools.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience working collaboratively in a team environment.
