We are seeking a skilled Senior Oracle DBA to join our team and provide development and optimization support for applications using Oracle database on AWS. This position is crucial in managing Oracle databases on AWS cloud platform, leading the development of procedures, and providing solutions for application modernization.
Key Responsibilities: Provision and manage Oracle database instances on AWS/Linux. Set up replication and high availability for Oracle databases using tools like Golden Gate. Monitor Oracle database performance and troubleshoot issues. Perform backups and restores of Oracle databases. Collaborate with application developers to refine data requirements and assist in SQL writing. Must-Have Skills:
7+ years of experience in designing schema, access patterns, and tuning Oracle Databases in an enterprise environment. Experience in modifying database structures and updating existing objects per application needs. 3+ years of experience in configuring, monitoring, and cache management for Oracle database servers. 2+ years of experience implementing and supporting Oracle on AWS/Linux platform. 3+ years of experience in storage allocation and planning for database systems. Understanding of Exadata hardware and software components. 2+ years of experience managing storage using Oracle Automatic Storage Management (ASM). Proficiency in shell scripting languages. 5+ years of experience authoring SQL and PL/SQL code. Experience designing and implementing backup/restore services and disaster recovery solutions. 3+ years of experience in installing, upgrading, and patching database software. Strong analytical, technical, time management, and communication skills. Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and weekend work.
