Responsibilities
- Direct all aspects of spa operations, including guest services, treatment areas, wellness programs, and amenities, ensuring a seamless and luxurious experience.
- Lead, inspire, and develop a team of spa professionals, including therapists, aestheticians, and front desk staff, fostering a culture of excellence, professionalism, and personalized service.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality in collaboration with housekeeping and engineering teams.
- Design and implement service menus, wellness offerings, and seasonal promotions aligned with luxury trends and guest expectations.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations.
- Actively engage with guests to ensure satisfaction, resolve concerns, and personalize experiences.
- Collaborate with resort leadership and marketing teams to promote spa services, packages, and brand positioning.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and integrate innovative wellness practices and technologies.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee procurement of spa products and equipment.
Working Conditions
- Operates in a serene, indoor spa environment within a luxury resort setting.
- Requires collaboration with multiple departments and occasional attendance at resort events or meetings.
Work Hours
Must be able to work a schedule set by the General Manager or Hotel Manager
Flexibility required, including weekends, holidays, and peak resort periods.
- Must be able to work more than 50 hours per week.
Equipment Use
- Proficient in spa management software, POS systems, and standard office tools.
- Familiarity with spa treatment equipment and retail inventory systems.
Mental and Physical Demands
- Ability to remain composed and professional in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills.
Communication Demands
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lead team meetings, deliver training, and interact with high-profile guests and stakeholders.
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in a luxury spa or wellness environment preferred.
- Proven expertise in spa operations, wellness programming, and guest service excellence.
- Previous hands-on experience as a therapist (massage, aesthetics, acupuncture) preferred.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and driving revenue.
- TB clearance card as required by the Hawaii State Department of Health.
