What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Prepare and coordinate analyses of monthly and quarterly loss reserves
Perform complex data analysis with minimal oversight
Develop and analyze new methodologies for commercial insurance loss reserving
Evaluate analytical work performed by others and make informed recommendations
Provide training and mentorship to Actuarial Analysts
What is Required (Qualifications)
BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, or a related field
At least 5 years of experience in statistical and actuarial analysis, preferably in Commercial Auto insurance
Completion of 5 or more actuarial exams
Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, R, or Python
Strong analytical and communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience with actuarial analysis specifically on Commercial Auto lines insurance
Effective computer software programming skills
Proven problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Familiarity with basic actuarial industry knowledge
