Leasing Consultant / Assistant to Community Manager
Location: Farmington, NY
Rate: $18-$19 / hour with incentives
Hours: Tue–Fri 8:30 AM–5:30 PM, Sat 10:00 AM–4:30 PM (40 hrs/week)
Employment Type: Full-Time (Temp to Perm)
About the Role We are looking for a friendly, motivated Leasing Consultant to assist our Community Manager in leasing and promoting our property. This role blends sales, marketing, and customer service to create an exceptional experience for prospects and residents while supporting resident retention.
What You’ll Do
Lease apartments and sell property services to prospective residents
Convert phone inquiries and online leads into tours and leases
Maintain accurate leasing records and resident files
Prepare and explain lease documents and community policies
Respond promptly to resident inquiries and resolve concerns
Support resident retention efforts, including lease renewals
Ensure the leasing office, model units, and community areas are clean and presentable
Monitor property conditions and report maintenance or safety issues
Assist with resident events and act as a host when needed
Participate in training to improve sales and customer service skills
What We’re Looking For
High school diploma or equivalent
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
Confident in sales with the ability to close deals
Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and safe driving record
Preferred Skills
Previous property management or leasing experience (helpful, but not required)
Physical Requirements
Walk the property and conduct tours
Occasionally lift up to 10 lbs
Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Stand, sit, and reach frequently
