Job Scope The Associate Sales Representative (ASR) exceeds sales quota within an assigned territory by delivering Acumed products on time and providing high‑quality technical assistance in the operating room. The ASR assesses the customer base to identify new business opportunities and executes a targeted sales strategy, ensuring all leads are followed up appropriately.
Duties / Responsibilities
Execute business plans to identify and close new business.
Identify the needs of new prospects and develop appropriate responses to meet or exceed those needs (written, telephone, and face‑to‑face).
Perform field sales calls for assigned accounts and territory, including on‑call and operating‑room consultation.
Provide accounts with excellent post‑sale follow‑up, including delivery dates, in‑service training, and product replenishment.
Communicate with current and new customer accounts about product updates, portfolio changes, and medical educational programs.
Cross‑sell additional products and introduce new ones to accounts.
Drive customer satisfaction and solve problems by addressing issues promptly.
Maintain customer records in accordance with Acumed specifications using the Company CRM tool.
Drive compliance with AdvaMed code of conduct, maintaining privacy, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
Obtain training in sales skills and product knowledge.
Stay current on medical device industry trends and competitive landscape.
Participate in and attend trade shows, sales meetings, promotional activities, and professional association meetings as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (business or medical discipline preferred) or equivalent experience.
0‑2 years of successful sales experience, preferably in medical devices.
Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with physicians and surgical personnel.
Experience building and maintaining relationships with surgeons and hospitals.
Knowledge of sales principles and techniques, including marketing strategy, product demonstration, and sales control systems.
Comfortable in emergency/operating‑room environments.
Ability to gain necessary credentialing for hospital access.
Reliable transportation.
Credentialing Required The responsibilities of this position include frequent surgery visits/observations. The incumbent will be required to obtain hospital‑required credentials.
