
Account Clerk-Purchasing

Procure goods and services for 60+ departments around the County, in accordance with applicable law, for purchases under the County’s bid threshold of $53,000. Employee will work with departments and vendors to obtain competitive quotes and award purchase orders. Employee will also facilitate procurements done under cooperative contracting through available NJ State Contracts and other local cooperative contracts.
Review requisitions from County departments
Prepare Requests for Quote for submission to vendors
Correspond with vendors, obtain and evaluate quotes and necessary paperwork
Check procurements for compliance with cooperative contracts
Review vendor documentation for completeness and accuracy
Perform due diligence to ensure compliance with state regulations
Use critical thinking skills to analyze procurements
Candidate should have knowledge of buying/procurement
Please be advised this is an on-site position. Monmouth County has no provisions to work from home.
