Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Construction Superintendent to lead onsite operations for various assigned projects. This role involves overseeing all installers and field employees, monitoring projects from planning to completion, and handling tasks such as budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating with contractors. The candidate will manage multiple carpenters across various job sites and will occasionally perform hands‑on carpentry work. Adherence to safety, quality, and efficiency standards is crucial to ensure the security and safety of the construction site.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage onsite operations for assigned construction projects.
Monitor and oversee projects from planning to completion.
Handle budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with contractors.
Manage multiple carpenters across various job sites.
Engage in hands‑on carpentry work when necessary.
Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
Essential Skills
5+ years of experience in commercial carpentry.
3+ years of experience reading blueprints and construction documents.
3+ years of experience managing contractors or field staff.
Proficiency in blueprint reading and commercial construction.
Experience with steel stud framing and commercial building projects.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
OSHA 30 certification.
Experience in ground‑up construction, retail, and mixed‑use projects.
Skilled in carpentry, framing, flooring, drywall, ceiling, and metal framing.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kalamazoo, MI.
Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.45 - $35.00/hr.
