Construction Superintendent

The Construction Superintendent will lead and manage all onsite installers and field employees for assigned projects. The role includes overseeing projects from planning to completion, with responsibilities in budgeting, scheduling, and contractor management. The Superintendent will also engage directly in carpentry work when necessary, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and efficiency standards. Responsibilities: Lead and manage all onsite installers and field employees. Oversee project planning to completion, including budgeting and scheduling. Manage multiple carpenters across various job sites. Engage in hands-on carpentry work as needed. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and efficiency standards. Essential Skills: 5+ years of experience in commercial carpentry. 3+ years of experience in reading blueprints and construction documents. 3+ years of experience in managing contractors or field staff. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Proficiency in blueprint reading and construction documents. Experience in commercial construction and steel stud framing. Familiarity with construction supervision and OSHA 30 certification. Work Environment: The work environment specializes in commercial building projects, including hospitals, hotels, schools, restaurants, and large buildings. Expect to work 40-50 hours per week, with job security and consistency, as this position is year-round with no layoffs. The team-first environment supports growth opportunities, such as advancing into a Project Manager role, and offers the chance to work on a variety of commercial projects. Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kalamazoo, MI. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $26.45 - $35.00/hr.
